My crush on Doogie Howser is officially over

(well really that was over when I started watching Saved By the Bell and became "the future Mrs. Zach Morris)

ANYWAY,

Parker is the cutest little Doctor/Nurse there ever was,

He happens to have the cutest big nurse there ever was for a father.

And even though Brett has been pestered every year,

he did NOT wear a sexy nurse costume to work.

Sorry to disappoint.

A mask, blood bag, stethoscope and tiny crocs?

I really do need a doctor because he makes my heart go thud, thud

An older woman at church said, "that's what all my doctors are looking like now, so young!"

Shoutout to Grana for making the scrubs with no pattern, even if the pants were a bit tight, we will forgive you this time...

Seventh Heaven

I love you from stealing the covers to letting me put my cold feet on you.

I love you from infertility to parenthood.

I love you from our one bedroom apartment to our first house.

I love you from 10 pounds lighter to 10 years later.

I love you from your bad jokes to telling me I'm the funniest person you know.

I love you from your sweaty hands to your blue eyes.

Sometimes I forget that we are two people, that you are not the same person as me. And that's just the way I like it.

Pumpkin Day

Last Saturday, Brett was working but Parker and I went to a new member baptism. Then we went over to a park next to the church building, the same one that held the fall festival. Each year, the parks and rec dept. sponsors "Pumpkin Day" where any child can come pick a free pumpkin.
I was amazed at how nice the pumpkins were. We got there towards the end but the pumpkins were still large and round. I was trying to get a picture of Parker next to a pumpkin, but since I was solo, all I could catch were these.

Parker enjoyed seeing Dorothy and Toto.

They also had obstacle courses, jump-a-roos, apple cider, candy, music and pony rides all for free.
The only down side was that I was wearing a skirt (from the baptism) and it was windy, I was worried about my skirt flying up!

Parker LOVED the pony ride, he held on tight (I walked next to him) and giggled as he was being bumped up and down.

General Conference Weekend

We spent Saturday at home watching Conference. Entertaining Parker at home is a lot easier than church!

Sunday morning our friends came over for the first session. Parker played with his friends and Brett made his now famous cinnamin rolls.

We had lunch at my Grandma's house and then went over to my parent's house for the Sunday afternoon session.

Parker did some entertaining during the Sunday afternoon session and was very distracting!

Apple Orchard

I was excited for Parker to wear his new overalls to the apple orchard but found out they were too short! Oh well, good thing I didn't pay much for them.

Nothing noteworthy at the apple orchard. We ate some apple turnover treats, walked around a bit and left.

We stopped at a big nostalgic candy store on the side of the road. There was lots of fun candy and things to look at.

On the way home, we stopped at my dad's office but Parker had a meltdown in the lobby so we didn't stay long.

Sick Little Lovie

Parker in a special moment. He is always after the remote. So when I'm feeling generous, I take the batteries out and give it to him. No, the t.v. was not on.
Two weeks ago, Parker had a cold that turned into pneumonia. We did antibiotics, steroids, nebulizer treatments, 3 trips to the doctor and less sleep than normal (for Parker and I, don't fret your pretty little head worrying about Brett). The first nebulizer treatment at the doctors office took both Brett and I holding Parker down. He was screaming and thrashing about. By the time it was done, Parker's hair was soaking wet from sweat and he even had sweaty pit marks on his shirt. Thank goodness the other treatments were easier! I must admit, I was hoping that since he was so sick, he would be a little lethargic but alas, Parker was as active as ever- just cranky. That little sweatheart is all better now!

Fall Festival

In September, we went to a local fall festival. It was really great for being such a small town. Our ward had a booth set up about food storage and two famililes are now taking the discussions.
Ahh, how cute. Parker's first run in with the police.

There was a free petting zoo at the festival. It was really large, with a variety of animals. I think I enjoyed it as much as Parker. This cute cow followed Parker around most of the time he was there.

We had a blast chasing the ducks and chickens, till we found out we weren't supposed to.

This was a huge yak/cow/? that was laying down. Parker walked over, grabbed his horns and shook his head back and forth. I was sure Parker had upset him, but he just layed there.

Momma's big walkin boy!

Parker thought the bunnies were all right, but he really liked the big animals and the moving animals.

I cannot imagine driving one of these...

But Parker was ready to try!

A balloon topped the day off.
