Halloween 2013

 We stopped at Grandma Barb's to show her the costumes. 

 The boys love checking all the doors at Grandma Barb's for candy! The residents leave candy out most of the month of October. It was hard to get a picture of Parker since he was racing to each door!

 It was a bit chilly, but Parker didn't want to wear a coat. Parker is a seasoned trick-or-treater this year and Tate got the hang real quick and love it!

 Parker had been asking for cowboy boots all summer so I bought them and justified it by saying they could be cowboys for Halloween. Plus, I love cowboy boots on little boys! Luckily, the boys were still into cowboys by the time Halloween came. We found the hats for $1 and they already had all the other gear for the costume.

For the preschool Halloween party, Parker wanted to wear his costume from last year. And, of course Tate wanted to wear something too. Parker is holding the raisins he brought as his treat to pass out. Brett made fun of me for being "that mom". The one who doesn't bring candy. Luckily both my boys love raisins and think they are a treat, haha! Sometimes at lunch if they are not eating, I tell them they can have raisins if they finish, and they love it!

10th Wedding Anniversary

We had professional pictures taken while there. We didn't buy the digital copies so here is a rough viewing of them. The weather was a perfect 70 degrees that day. The photographer, Devan Marie, was really fun and we are really glad we did it.

For our 10th anniversary, we made a quick trip down to Nauvoo to celebrate. It was a last minute trip since we weren't sure of the timing of passing boards and starting work. Luckily, Brett's work let him postpone starting so we could go on the trip. With school, boards and having a job secured behind us, we were sooo ready to celebrate! 

My parents watched the boys and we drove down. We were able to do sealings in the Temple, take professional pictures, see the historic sites and go to a movie. On our way into Nauvoo we stopped at Walmart in Keokuk, Iowa for a few things and ran into some Elders. It was perfect timing since it was dark and we wanted to double check which road we turned onto for Nauvoo. It was a great weekend!
