Sweet Dreams and Happy Smiles

This is dangerous, I risked interupting a nap for this picture
Looks like the nap was a sucess! Check out those teeth.

Look at all those chins, scrumptious!

One of my favorites, too bad its a little dark.

Family Gathering

The Family
Baby Taylor and Parker. Not sure what their relation is...their fathers are cousins.

Parker and cousin Maggie.
Thanks to Uncle Tom for being the family events coordinator and food preparations manager. It seems hard to get together but when Uncle Tom says he is cooking and all we have to do is show up, somehow everyone makes it! Happy Birthday to Brittany and Ethan. We can't wait for the next time so we can meet Sarah and Josh's soon-to-be addition!

6 months

I know everyone says it, but I can't believe he is 6 months old! What a guy! He has personality oozing out of his ears now and we love watching him learn and grow! He is better than anything we wished and hoped for, we love him so much. Mr. Parker Royal loves his toes right now, sucking on everything he can get his hands on really. He is very interested in Reese the cat, our food, and noises. He smiles and laughes easily and has just started making several different smiles and silly faces. He can be a drama king at times, shown by his very tragic cry, even the nurses at the doctor's office took notice of how extra heartbreaking his cry is. Oh Parker, we are so glad you are here, we love how you adore us right now, we hope that we can always win your adoration!
6 month stats:
Height: 27.5 inches, 75-90%
Weight: 17 lbs. .5 oz., 50%

Parker's Pad

We finally got the pictures hung on the walls! Yeah! I love that a lot of people contributed to the room, it makes it special. That's Brett's grandma's rocking chair, my friend croqueted the blanket on it for us, Parker's second cousin (or is it first cousin once removed?) took the pictures, Brett's brother gave us the crib and changing table, the bishop's wife made the crib blanket, my SIL made the quilt on the wall, both of our mom's helped with the basket liners and roman shade, Brett's mom made the crib skirt, Brett painted the walls and I made the baby. Phew, I think that's all. We took the argyle paint and vinyl saying idea from a friend's sister's blog (thanks Che' and Cortney!) and I think that totally makes the room. It was so fun to actually decorate a room all out. The rest of our house has not recieved such attention. We are hoping to find a book shelf from craigslist or garage sales this summer (the Minnesota garage sales are A-mazing!!!) Thanks to everyone who helped!

Valentine's Day 2010

Here is Parker working on his Valentine cards for his friends. His shirt says, " I love Daddy". He helped pick out Harley Davidson themed cards and my favorite one has a picture of a motorcycle and says. "This bike is built for two, sweetheart". Brett and I saw the Valentine's Day movie on the 13th, it was just ok. Valentine's Day was also ward conference followed by a potluck afterward. Parker dropped his Valentines off to his friends after church and shamelessly flirted with baby G by pulling her hair and eating her toes. We skyped for a few minutes with Brett's parents who are in the Dominican Republic helping with aid from our church for Haiti. Then my parents and sister came over with cake and we played Disney Scene It. Pretty romantic day, eh? But really is was nice and I have been working on a bag of chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels from Trader Joe's, oh yeah.

The Furr Baby and the For Real Baby

Reese still thinks she is the baby.

Parker is saying he wants more peas right now!

Back to Work

I went back to work at my vision therapy job today. I haven't worked for 6 months.
It was good.
It was nice to talk to adults without a baby on my hip.
It was nice to be clocked it and making money.
I missed my baby.
It was REALLY weird doing the same tasks that I haven't done since being pregnant. I kept trying to do them as if I was pregnant.
Like squat at the file cabinet so my belly could hang between my legs, sit on the stool at the computer with my legs apart for the same reason. And the weirdest one was gathering my pants in my hands after going to the bathroom in preparation of hiking them over my bulging belly.
But it wasn't there.
It is a lot easier not being pregnant.
But then it just kinda made me sad that baby wasn't with me. Constantly moving. Always with me, we worked 6 days a week when he was cooking.
Then I got home. And he has been constantly moving on my hip.
It's good to be home. I missed my baby.
