Potty Trained

Just after Thanksgiving, Parker finally decided to potty train. His motivation was a promise to go to "Pizza Planet" from his favorite movie Toy Story. I may not have promised to take him there if I had seen the menu price beforehand, haha! It was pricey but the food was really good and big. Parker had a blast, especially since his favorite game was riding in the spaceship which took only one token. He was happy to ride it over and over! He picked macaroni and cheese pizza but was most excited that he got to drink pop. He also got a squirt gun with his tickets before we left. Tate was fascinated with the twinkly stars on the ceiling. Not changing Parker's giant poopy diapers was totally worth the cost of dinner!

Thanksgiving 2012

I love watching the Macy's Parade. It's a lot of fun having Parker to watch it with since Brett isn't amused by it. I was mostly cooking while it was on, Parker really enjoyed it though!

We had a quiet Thanksgiving with just my parents. It was easy and really nice.

Tate was very entertaining, like usual.

Tate has a scrunchie nose smile that I love.

The morning was unseasonably warm and in the afternoon, the temperature dropped quickly and it snowed. It was PERFECT. Everyone loved the warm and then the snow officially kicked off the Christmas season.

I gave Tate about a teaspoon of whipping cream. Can you tell he enjoyed it?

This is the thankful tree Parker and I made the week before Thanksgiving. He came up with almost all the leaves on his own, such a thoughtful sweet boy.

Transportation Museum

Parker still loves trains. With Brett really busy with school, we decided to entertain ourselves by going to a train museum in St. Paul. I am lucky enough that my parents are always willing to go with me and help with the kids.

The volunteers were really cute with Parker, showing him how to work the controls and be a real train engineer and conductor.

There were lots of trains in the museum, which is inside an old roundhouse where the trains are permanently parked. The kids are free to explore all the trains.

This one had a kitchen and beds!

This was everyone's favorite. An old private car with all the "modern" conveniences. With beautiful wood, green velour seats, private sleeping chambers and bathrooms, it look like it should be going to Hogwarts.

This train was HUGE and very cool. It looks like a train from a movie Parker likes, The Little Engine That Could. That train in the movie is a bad train so Parker was a little scared of it.

You can tell here that he was a bit scared.

Brothers gotta hug! Parker loves matching Tate (they have a couple matching shirts) and he frequently requests that he match Tate and get their picture taken.

They love bath time, well Parker loves playing in the tub but doesn't like getting scrubbed.

Tate is a paper monster! He will find paper and eat as much as he can before getting caught.

Tate often plays with his feet. Maybe as much or more as his hands! It's pretty funny, especially when he plays with balls with his feet, maybe soccer is in his future.

Parker saw Brett highlighting on top of his laptop and ran to get his own laptop toy complete with paper and pen.
