Even though Brett's class won't graduate until August, they held the graduation ceremony with the rest of St. Mary's school in June.
Brett receiving his hood.
Brett receiving his diploma.
Fortunately, Brett's BFF Mike Lee, happens to fall right before Lindsay alphabetically and they got to stand next to each other in graduation.
As the ceremony approached, Brett and I were trying to be excited but knowing we still had several months left made it hard. During the ceremony however, we both really enjoyed celebrating the moment.
Brett's parents flew out from Utah and Tim, his brother who lives in the area came. Tim is an anesthesiologist and was a great mentor to Brett.
My parents came and Courtney took the boys to church with her, we really wanted the boys to be there with us but knew they wouldn't last for the whole ceremony.
I couldn't be more proud of Brett!!! He has worked LONG and HARD for this. He tackled each challenge and still tried his best to be a good father and husband. He is a wonderful and selfless provider for us and we love him so much.
It was a beautiful day in Minneapolis! Brett and I were fasting that day for a huge test Brett had the next day. Brett received the exact score we were fasting for and we know it was an answer to prayer.
Brett and I are very fond of Mike and Tatiana. It was a strength to us knowing another LDS couple with two kids was going through the same thing as us. We enjoyed family picnics in the park and date nights together. Four LDS men started the program...here are the only two left! They earned it!
The same weekend of graduation, Brett's brother had a bbq at his house to celebrate graduation. It was nice to get both sides of extended family together.

Such great memories. Parker is such a kind big brother. You and Brett look so happy at graduation--it was a great day and now it is real. Only one more hurdle. We know it will all work out well. You all make us so proud! Thanks for the great blog.
