Mall of America

With my brother in town from Provo, we decided to make a trip to the MOA. Here is Parker at Lego Land. He loved looking at all the displays and was happy in the play area where he could touch everything.
Nana and Papa gave Parker some tickets for rides. He didn't like waiting in line but loved the rides!
Parker was very serious on the truck ride. He was concentrating on steering and it looked like he really thought he was driving.
Brett was at school while we were at the mall, but he met us later at my parent's house. Parker is a bit obsessive with their basketball court and sometimes we all get tired of taking him out there, so he was happy that week when Cameron took him out several times.

Fourth of July 2011

My mom made ribs, Parker seemed to enjoy it but had a hard time getting it off the bone.

We spent the day at our neighborhood pool and with my family.

July 3rd BBQ

I love Amy's garden!
Parker had a lot of fun climbing up and going down the slide.
There were about 5 pre-teen girls who wanted to "babysit" Parker. I gave them a big "YES" and Brett and I enjoyed talking and eating without Mr. Parker.
Just a few of my favorite women in our ward.

Saturday Brunch

On July 2nd, we went to a brunch at our friends house. It was a buffet of homemade breakfast goodness including; blueberry pancakes with homemade syrup, crepes various toppings, egg casseroles, sausages, fresh fruit and more! Oh boy, it was good.
Parker with his nursery buddy, Mr. K.
Parker with more friends. The older boy was a neighbor who was really cute with the little kids-letting them splash him and he would make funny reactions. They thought it was hilarious!
The H family can throw a really good party, complete with a bouncer to Parker's delight.

Music in Plymouth 2011

The Wednesday before the 4th of July was Music in Plymouth. It gets bigger every year and we really look forward to it. Sadly, Brett had night classes but was able to meet us in time for the fireworks. Here is Parker who found some girls eager to dance to the big brass band music!
Courtney found this cheap camera lying around the house that was a freebie from somewhere. Brett put batteries in it and Parker is in heaven. He is always after our camera so now he has his very own camera that actually works. This is how he takes pictures. I am not sure why he puts it on his head because our digital camera has the screen so we hold it away from us as we use it.
Mom and Dad's anniversary was that night- 32 years!
Just part of the crowd. It looked a lot bigger this year than the last several.
I sat on something that got on my pants. Only a mother's love could help me.
Yeah, Brett's here! This is about 3.5 minutes before Parker fell asleep, can you tell?
Parker was up was past bedtime and fell asleep just after the fireworks started. I have no idea how someone could fall asleep during that.
Oooooo, Ohhhhh, ahhhhh!
Cameron flew in for a week. This was the first of many fun activities that week!

Wanna see a picture that took 10 years to get?

Ta-dah! Pretty incredible, right? You see, I graduated a semester early from high school and headed to BYU for spring/summer therefore missing my high school graduation. Sad right? And I'm not bitter that my friend Emily flew home for graduation while I sat in my dorm room studying. So when my sister graduated last month, I took the opportunity to re-enact that pivotal moment in my personal history. Brett thinks I'm a dork, I think I'm thorough (yes, my children, Mommy did graduate from high school. why yes, I have a picture to prove it...see what I mean?)
Courtney on the jumbo-tron!
Courtney's high school class was HUGE. The names took FOR-EV-ER (repeat three times) to get through. Lucky for me, I brought a book.
P.S. The picture doesn't show the whole class. I think this is about a third of the graduates.
Do any of you remember this little puke face? Well, she's not so little anymore and she doesn't look like a puke face anymore either.

Around these here parts (Minnesota) everyone has big graduation parties for their kids (It's a bit much if you ask me, but when in Rome...). So Courtney planned her party at Pump It Up (I believe its called Jump On It in Utah and such) where she has been working for a couple of years and they gave her a big discount. It was a blast and Parker literally had THE time of his life.
Good food and friends.

Parker jumped for a couple hours straight and had a fit when we made him stop for a drink. We will definitely be going back in the dead of winter on toddler days!

Father's Day 2011

Brett and Parker with Daddy's presents. We got him some shirts and a candy bar poster. We also made him breakfast and went to my parents house after church for a steak dinner. Brett was proud to wear the tie Parker made him. Maybe next year he will add more than one scribble of color.
Brett and Parker getting ready for church. Two handsome boys!
